Limited opportunities to take part in sport are a key reason why 3 out of 4 disabled Londoners are classified as inactive. Launched in 2013, our Inclusive United initiative aims to reduce the barriers to participation faced by people with a range of physical and mental health impairments.
By bringing together London’s clubs we’re able to deliver innovative projects that increase participation and share best practice. Supported by the FA, the Wembley National Stadium Trust and London Sport, the project currently works with 12 of the city’s professional clubs, providing new sporting opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds.
It works with local county FA’s and grassroots clubs to ensure capacity is built within clubs to increase participation in the future through the delivery of disability awareness training and specialist sports coaching.
